Jim McLaughlin —
Co-Chair, IC3 Movement
Jim McLaughlin is an educator and lifelong learner at heart and has dedicated his career to college counseling and student success. He traveled to more than 30 countries during his 15+ years in international admissions and student services at Chestnut Hill College and Drexel University, located in his hometown of Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love & Sisterly Affection.” Prior to joining the IC3 team full-time in September 2019, Jim most recently directed the Office of International Students and Scholars Services at Drexel University where he led a team of eight professionals serving 5,000+ students and scholars. He has been involved with the IC3 Movement since 2016 and has attended every Annual IC3 Conference. Jim has held several IC3 leadership positions, including Chair of both the Outreach Committee (2016-17) and the University Committee (2017-18). Jim resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with his family and currently serves as Co-Chair of the 2020 Annual IC3 Conference.
Abhimanyu Basu —
Dean of Academics, Dhirubhai Ambani International School
An international educator for over twenty-five years, Mr. Abhimanyu Basu is the Dean at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. His extensive experience in the IB world includes being a Senior Examiner, Workshop Leader, Consultant, and Team Leader for School Visits and Presenter at Conferences. In addition, he is also a Team Leader for Visiting Accreditation Teams for CIS (Council of International Schools) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges). A trainer in classroom pedagogy and leadership, he has presented at international forums such as the International Baccalaureate Global Conference, Global Round Square Conference (Canada), Cambridge Conference (India), Adobe APAC Education Conference, Adobe Edu Days, DIDAC India, Microsoft EDU Days, TAISI (The Association of International Schools in India) to name a few.
John Wilkerson —
Assistant Vice President for International Services; and Executive Director of International Admissions IUB and Regional Campuses, Indiana University, Bloomington
John Wilkerson has worked in International Education since January 2006. He serves as Assistant Vice President for International Services and Executive Director of International Admissions at Indiana University. Before assuming his role with Indiana University, Wilkerson served as Director of the Office of International Admissions at the University of Missouri and as Director of Study Abroad for the Missouri School of Journalism. Wilkerson had previously served as Director of Admissions for Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. Wilkerson holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, earned a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling, and completed doctoral studies in Global Education Policy. Wilkerson has served in various volunteer leadership roles with NAFSA: The Association of International Educators, the Council of International Schools, and the International Association of College Admissions Counseling. Currently, he serves on the board of trustees with the International Career & College Counselling (IC3) non-profit organization, on the University Advisory Committee of CIALFO, the Admissions Advisory Board with DET, and the International Advisory Committee of College Board.
Ketevan Maghlakelidze —
Head of Enko Riverside International School, Enko Education
In August of 2018, Ketevan Maghlakelidz joined Enko Education as a Group University Admission Manager and started building the program for 15 schools in 9 different African countries. Currently, her team consists of ten counselors who work closely and eagerly develop their expertise daily. She studied English language and literature at the Tbilisi State University with a degree in philology and pedagogy. Currently, she is doing my Ph.D. studies in Economics. After many years of working in the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in 2007, she joined the private school and served as a Head of the English Language Department and became the first IB DP coordinator and a college counselor of the First IBDP school Georgia.
Sudarshana Shukla —
Guidance Counsellor, Cathedral and John Connon School
Sudarshana Shukla has been a faculty member of the Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai, since 2002. As a full-time Guidance Counsellor since 2004, she has guided students with overseas applications to the USA, Canada, the UK, Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong, along with colleges within India. She is the coordinator of an advanced placement program offered by her school. As Head of Learning Resource Centre and SSD coordinator, Sudarshana supports students with different abilities to achieve their potential. She is also a committee member of the Admissions Practices Committee for IACAC and the University of Toronto International Counsellor Advisory Board.
